As an HR administrator you should be able to search quickly in PA20/PA30 for example for employee name, if you only have the System Username, passport number or time administrator, you can use advanced search functionality.
Do to this follow above steps:
- Execute PA20/PA30 or PA40 transaction
- Type: =u..us0011 (equal sign, full stop, full stop and followed by the System User ID) in the Personnel no. field
- System User:
a) If there is such a System User, this will be retrieved (number of entries; personnel number and Start and End Date of existence in the system):
Select then the entry you need and there you go:
b) If there is no such System user name in the System, the dialog box that appears on the screen is:
Tip: How does this work?
As you can see each and every tab has its own name, for instance System User name is called System user name. Then each field has its order number on the tab as follows:
Communication type-> can be referred to as =u.us0011 (name of the tab followed by a fullstop representing the order of the field, for instance if it is the first field you put 1 fullstop)
ID/Number-> can be referred to as =u..us0011 (name of the tab followed by a full stop representing the order of the field, for instance if it is the first field you put 2 full stops)
You have the first and last name provided and use PA20 and the Personnel no. field
How to search for the employee:
- Type the following in the Personnel no. field as follows:
=n.last name.first name (as in the example screen I placed ‘==n.gulyaev.dmitriy)
Tip: How does it work?
The tab name is N: Last name-First name. You get the tab retrieved by typing = and then followed by the name of the tab and then specify what to be put in the field and in what order.
Same way can use =G for date of birth and =K for Organizational assignment and so on.
